Moving into the workspace, FlowerSchool New York is New York’s premiere flower school for over ten years. At our facility not only will you learn the best skills, designs and practices of the industry, but FlowerSchool also works hard to create a real flower shop-like atmosphere so students can also learn the proper workflow and management practices of a working design shop. Being able to efficiently move around your workspace, much like a chef, is an essential principal of floral design.
Finally, the pinnacle of FlowerSchool New York is our garden featuring four different kinds of bamboo, Japanese maple trees, fig trees and beautiful annual flowers of the season. Here we incorporate the space with our more advanced level classes such as the Advanced Wedding Series. Providing real-life situations or ‘simulations’ is an important aspect of the school. Living the phrase, “Practice at school; not on the job,” our students are given the opportunity to construct large-scale designs and chuppahs in this space just as they would for a real event.
We hope you enjoyed learning a little bit about FlowerSchool New York and we hope you stop by our Gift Shop and school the next time you are in New York! FlowerSchool New York is dedicated to celebrating great floral design and designers, and teaching new and up-and-coming designers the best practices of the trade in order to be successful in the industry.
